The peace I need to make is with me, not you.

You don't need everyone to believe in you,
just the ones who can help get you where you yearn to be.

Opinionated Thoughts:

Have you guys ever wondered why some medicine containers hold cotton in them? A lot of people replied that it may be to keep the medication from rotting somehow. My guess is that it keeps the dry pills from chipping when hitting against the other pills and the container itself. The liquid pills don't have any, so that supports my guess!

I know, my mind hits upon weird thoughts.

If given the choice of an option, one which leads to punishment and one to rewards, is that ultimately still an option? It is pretty much masking it in negativety, a hidden message of how this choice is not acceptable. How can you give a person an "option" if it is treated as unacceptable?

Such as when they say, you have the choice to decide for Heaven or Hell through your actions. It seems that soon we're just attempting to follow orders and seek appraisal. If we're to do something, we should understand it for it's worth and find enough weight in that alone. That is a decision and choice - one which is made in understanding... Not through the strain of pressure and validation.

Everyday Ramblings

Featured moron of the week: Danny LOL

"Hahah nice display pic dude, it looks like you lol"
D: "Haha Thanks!  I drew it myself!"
T: "lol obviously, it's not really that nice that you have to tell me that for me to know!"
 D: "=("
 T: "It's actually pretty ugly."
 D: "You're so mean!"
T: "... But that's okay, that's why it looks like you right?"

"If you ask for patience, God doesn't simply grant you patience, instead he gives you the opportunity to be patient."

It makes sense. It's almost a question of how much you want it. Many want it only some bother to go all the way for it. What's more, being given something and experiencing something is almost as different as learning from a textbook and understanding firsthand... It becomes that much stronger and appreciated.

Yet Another Thought

I was wondering today, why is it that most people believe that their past is better than their present? You know, when people reminisce and smile while thinking of all those good carefree feelings the past has offered us. How often do we find ourselves longing for those "good ol' days"? Aside from those who have experienced a significant gain/loss, how much does take to say your present is as good or better? Even when people feel it's better, it's usually only briefly and due to a recent gain. What's more unusual... How likely is it that in a few years, we will still see the days we spend now as "better" days? I came up with two conclusions as why this may be:

1) Whenever emotions are present, we often feel it is "forever", we find it difficult to see beyond it. It's all that matters in that duration of time. If we're happy, we may feel invincible and confident with whatever comes our way. But if we were really as strong as we felt, we would never experience sadness again! Yet when we're actually stripped of our happiness, we think everything's miserable and can't see it lifting either. And usually if we're sad now... We feel it's worse than the sadness we felt back then... (providing the situations don't differ too much ). Whatever we feel is in a sense, is all we know. Thus, any present emotion (ie sadness) will always seem more constant in the present... Than in the past when we have already forgotten it.

However, we shouldn't be so foolish to believe that all pain is actually forgotten and meaningless. It does have an impact on our character and current attitude.

2) The younger we are, the simpler our feelings. As we grow older, complexity intertwines with our emotions, creating scars of bittersweet memories. It's harder to appreciate the idea of being carefree after we've experienced a harsh reality. Perhaps when we're older, being carefree doesn't exist, instead, we identify any experience similar to it as moments of relief.

So I guess the trick here is not to let emotions mislead the mind. The past wasn't always "better" and thinking otherwise may only deepen those scars and cease our ability to feel carefree about things.

Of course... I don't know about you but usually I find it hard to absorb the words from someone who doesn't seem to be a good representation of their conclusion. IE, shouldn't I have hit this epiphany and become a carefree, happy individual by now?! It's like a person who has a lot of pimples telling me, "you should buy this facewash! it's so good!!" "Um.. yah.. Okay... *thinking - Please tell me your face is like that because you STOPPED using it.*"

Opinionated Thought

I just had to emphasize how skeptical I am towards people who believe they have reached an epiphany and changed within a day. Unless you've undergone a dramatic situation, it's VERY hard for me to believe. It's like a person who decides to work hard for one day, extending his hours and effort to make more than the average person does in a day; then having them believe they're richer than a person who has worked normal hours with a consistent effort for an entire year. The effects from the money made from one day won't last as long!! You may think this is easy to see, yet everyday I hear people saying how much they've changed. I'm not talking about changing as in making a choice to commit more to a part of your character you ALREADY show quite often... Or comparing yourself to the past. I'm talking about changing to the degree that you believe you're totally a different person because you thought about it... LAST NIGHT. Here's an example, a guy dumping a girl or vice versa, person thinks after being rejected again after trying to get back with them, "YOU'RE SUCH A LOSER, I SHOULD OF KNOWN BETTER, I CAN DO BETTER THAN YOU. OMGOSH I'VE JUST HIT AN EPIPHANY!" Are you sure it isn't forced truth that you tried to make to your benefit?

For the most part, you do take a lot from those situations to become a part of you... But it's not always the way you think. You can't conquer bitterness in one day as much as we'd like.

During those rare times where you do learn something crucial... The effects don't stay unless you practice it.

Note to self: If you're going to strive for something, take it all the way.
If you're going to dream of something, believe til you see it in everything you do: reality is going to bend to make room for it's existance. Know what must be changed, know what must remain the same.

Held in a state of appreciation while also exuding a desire to prove my worth... Particularly to myself.
